Well I tried them out I tell you when you put your rod in the holders when a big cat takes the bait and runs it will hold your rod my rod was bent all way down if I didn't have the rod holders I lost a rod if your a cat fisherman like iam I recommend these there strong and you can trust them great product

It's a good product, but the bolt needs to be longer to have the pole stand up a bit higher for shore fishing where you want the pole to be more upright to see hits and/or set a circle hook. Also, one bolt was cross threaded so quality control might be an issue. It was an easy fix so not that big of a deal.

This rod holder is pretty solid and would be a good river bank or pond/lake rod holder. But for ocean fishing, it is a little too short for the changing water heights due to waves and tides.
