Wish the ratchet was on the other side.

As a right handed person, I have a horrible time figuring out where to place the base because the ratchet sits right behind your back if you try and set it to control the arm with your left hand.
Does the trick!

I have multiple stands that I hunt so I decided to look into purchasing a couple more camera arms. Wind, time of day, or just plain laziness all factor into where I decide to sit. So it is convenient having the arm already set up where I can just stick the camera on, settle in, and nock that arrow. Even if I'm hunting the afternoon and getting settled in mid-day, I'm not a fan of loading and unloading even MORE crap in my pack and jacking around with straps and whatnot...if I don't have to.
For about 3 or 4 times the price you can purchase a Fourth Arrow arm and a quality Manfrotto fluid head (which I also use). But this is a pretty solid rig for the price...great for multiple sets. Whether you hunt one stand or five, you can set this guy up and pretty much leave it without losing any sleep. Or pack it up every time. Whatever you fancy. It's not clunky or difficult.
The design itself (much like Fourth Arrow) is a 3 piece system. Which I really like. It's pretty slick"”sturdy, quiet, and light. The head is of okay quality, but it works fantastic with lighter cameras...it's plastic. I ended up buying another one of these about a week or so after the first one. And I'll probably buy two more before buying another Fourth Arrow, to be honest.
So, in short, you don't have to break the bank and you don't have to settle for some wonky piece of trash either. Muddy tree arms are right in the middle. This is only my first year using one so I can't say how long it will last, but so far I'm impressed. And my guess is that I will be able to get a few seasons out of it.

used it several times with a 1/4" 20 phone mount
Cons:
Ratchet is loud and a bit of a pain to setup every time you go out as I hunt different stands.
It doesn't fit well in a backpack either.
the base doesn't go on/off as easy as it is described in the assembly instructions
Pros:
Quite steady
one hand operation while holding bow is awesome.
cheaper than the fourth arrow or lone wolf custom gear option

Good Entry Level Camera Arm

It's not high end, but it's above bottom level. It's 24 inches so don't expect to be able to reach around the back of a tree or all the way around you. But it is sturdy, has a pretty smooth head and securely locks to the tree. The arm itself can make some noise, still working to quiet that down. The only other thing is that for a right handed person, the ratchet strap will be in the middle of your back. Overall, I'm pleased for what I paid.
