I sent them two mini DVD cassettes from 2011. They were converted to an excellent digital version with color and sound intact. Also included was a 32 Gig USB when the cassettes were returned to me. At the time, I was not aware that the process took about 2 -3 weeks after you send them the material. But they did respond very promptly to my emails, and as I said the end product was great.

Great value for a reliable service by Digital Threads Co in Sugar Land, Texas. All eight PAL Hi8 tapes I sent were converted in expected good resolution and quality. Online payment for the additional tapes and digital download of files was handled very efficiently. Communication via email with Randy was always very professional and he responded quickly to all questions. In order to convert the PAL tapes they had to clear some hurdles initially, which I hope will lead to a faster turnaround time on my next order. Recommend.
They do create downloadable video file from your tape. Wish they provided a phone #.

I got a little irritated at no contact from the company for three weeks, after mailing them my tape. The tape quality is dependent on the video recording, so I don't fault them for that. I have the hardware to transfer most video tapes to mp4 files on my computer which I have done several times, I just did not have a player for mini-dv so I choose to use this service (someone borrowed my video camera???). I did not see the email message they sent after three weeks, but I did see the resent message at four weeks and downloaded my video file.
