Had 11 months and now it keeps stopping and starting. It won't stay closed tight enough to recognize there is a dvd in it. Had no issues up until this point. Sad because it is past the return date.

The only reason why this isn't a 5 star review is because the power cord doesn't reach the outlet in our minivan. The cord is 57 inches long and we need another 6 inches to reach. (So we use an adapter that has additional power ports which adds about 12 inches and allows everything to easily connect.) We have one forward facing child and one rear facing kid so I was worried about the cords not being able to reach both devices. Luckily they connect and have some cord to spare. The sound quality is great, we haven't had to go higher than 50-75% of the volume on car rides and can hear it easily from the front seat. I love the flexibility of either snapping the screens into the insert or strapping it directly to the headrest. The remote is easy to figure out, just make sure you have two AAA batteries available! I would definitely recommend the 10 inch screens over the smaller 7.5 inch ones because you can see/hear the movie all the way in the back row. All the cords are inserted on the right of the devices so if you have kids facing opposite directions know that the cords could be over feet or somewhat in the way. Another customer put the cords through the handle above the door, I simply didn't bother. Either way both parents are happy with this purchase and loved the price!

Ok, just buy it. These video players are fantastic. Their maiden excursion for us was a trip to California from Utah. During the trip we drove over 1500 miles and clocked about 26 hours of drive time in about 6 days. There was not a single skip or issue the entire trip. The real gold was when we had to drive 12 hours home in one day (with three kids ages 8-4). Not a tear, arguing, or whining! No I'm not exaggerating, that's why I love these so much.
I know many people use tablets instead, which if you have a hot spot that's great, but, my kids were able to have the movie playing, and have their hands free to color and do their little workbook activities. They didn't have to hold a tablet the whole time, and I didn't have to troubleshoot login or download issues every other minute.
Now that we are back from our trip I found even more uses, like during cold soccer practices when my little would rather stay warm in the car than watch her brothers play.
So yes, you need it. Yes it's great, and worth every penny, yes your spouse will grow to love it too.

We've gone through a few DVD players through the years. So far, I like most things about this player.
We've only been using this player for about a week. It is easy to install, we used the brackets for now, but it has straps to attach to the headrest as well. I like the picture quality. I like the that the brackets make the screens easy to attach and detach so I can remove them easily to hide in the vehicle and not advertise them to criminals. Since it detaches easy, it was much more comfortable for the passenger to change out the DVD on a recent road trip. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because they stick out a few inches from the headrest and they also sit down low. When my kids get in and out of the minivan they have a tendancy to bump into them. I wish they had an adjustable piece on the bracket to fold the bar up so the screens sit flush against the headrest. The way they stick out I'm sure they will break at some point, though the bar they rest on is sturdy (for now). Also, my husband hands are size X Large. He has some trouble fitting his hand between the screen and the headrest to push the buttons to detach. Myself and my children have small hands so we don't have any difficulties with this.

I just want to start out by saying I give the customer service 5 stars on this. I was so excited to upgrade our other dual DVD player, and had read hundreds of reviews and decided on this one. After installing it all into our vehicle, the slave monitor (the extra monitor) was very dark and grainy, and the picture quality was just horrible no matter what settings I tried to fix. But the main monitor was great. So I contacted customer service and they sent me out a new slave monitor, with a new cord, free of charge, to try to see if that fixed the problem. They also let me keep the original slave monitor and not have to deal with sending it back. Well, I hooked the new one up and it was the exact same. Dark, grainy, horrible quality, so I don't know if that's an actual problem with anyone else's also or if I just got a bad main monitor, not sure. But I contacted customer service yet again and they gave me two options, to either send it all back and get a full refund or keep it and they give me half my money back. Well I already got rid of my other one and my toddler loves his DVD player. The main monitor looks great and plays great. So instead of messing with sending everything back, I just took the second option of giving me half the money back. They was fast in their response and solving the problem. I appreciate their business. If the slave monitor I would have had the same quality as the main monitor, I would have had no complaints at all and would have been an easy 5 stars all the way around.
