Aside from those good things it always smells, no matter if I've left it out back for months, washed it down, let my cats run on it; it always smells like new recycled rubber tires. Not the good ones either like Hoosier's or Yokohamas, I'm talking Ling Ling or some other cheap off brand. Kind of like Mao Zedong's Revolutionary Tire Shop
