Got this to teach my family about film development at home. Overall, the kit is decent. Other reviewers mentioned the same - a lot of the equipment is subpar, so expect things to not last. Overall, if you find yourself wanting to just practice and get into development, this is perfect, so you then know what kind of equipment you prefer.
The development tank really freaking leaks. We lost about 50 to 100 ml of liquid during each developing session. Seriously, it SUCKS.
The gloves are ok.
The timer is actually really good! A must.
Instructions are horrible - barely readable.
The beakers are good, definitely another keeper.
This also includes the (unmarked) 1000 ml bottles (3 of them, no markings whatsoever)
I paired this with the CS-41 cine still liquid kit - it was perfect. Follow the instructions with that other kit and you are good to go!
The thermometer is meh, specially since nothing in the kit includes batteries. Will update once I test out.
The reels are actually ok! But beware, I do recommend buying a actual good reel and developer tank combo.
The 10x loupe is good, but not something I use a lot.
The dark room bag is perfect - but do make sure you really seal it, specially around the arms. I found a lot of light leakage there!!!
The film roll opener tool is perfect, another good tool in this kit.
In the end, this is like the harbor freight of film development kits. I do heavily recommend you get a separate thermometer, a mixing spatula of sorts, and a GOOD quality development tube.
