This ice cream maker is a beautiful teal color and does a great job! It is not hard to use and it makes yummy ice cream. Just remember to put the metal cylinder in the freezer before making your ice cream and have rock salt on hand. Highly recommend!

I don't usually write reviews, but I need to review this product. I've been wanting a soft serve ice cream maker for years, but I didn't want to spend tons of money, and didn't want to deal with tons of parts that I need to clean and keep track of. I bought this on a Black Friday deal and just tried it tonight. I did it together with my two youngest kids, and we used the easy vanilla ice cream recipe, except I cut down on the cream to 1 qt, because that's all I had. It was super easy to do, came out AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS, with the perfect soft serve texture. Plus, there was enough even in my modified batch for all six kids. The few parts are so easy to wash. So worth it!

$34.99! Makes a lot of ice cream and is much cheaper than the other two types of ice cream makers (freeze a bowl in the freezer for several hours and then put it in a machine that turns the bowl or the kind that come with a built in compressor to chill the bowl as it's being churned). The compressor type of machines were very large over $150 and the pre freeze the bowl types were $70 and up and were around the same size as this overall. I have minimal freezer space so the pre freeze bowl type would have been a pain bc I'd have to reorganize the freezer, which is usually full, each time. The down fall of this is you're going to need about 3 small bags or maybe a couple medium bags of ice each time to place in the bucket, so about an extra $5-$7 in ice each time. I have a GE Opal nugget ice maker and to make a 1/3 of a canister of ice cream it required 1.5 full bins of ice and it took longer than it would normally take for the ice cream to firm up. Most people aren't going to stick with making homemade ice cream frequently after the first few months so I saw no point in spending over double for an item.
Worked wee and cleaned beautifully. Have only used once. Will update with more use.
