Purchased this cushion as a booster for my mother who was too short for reclining chair used at beauty salon. Turns out my mother said chair was so comfortable, she used in in the car for 12 hour drive and at home when sitting in chair. My sister tried it out and purchased one the same day. It's thick and cushion enough to promote comfort. It didn't lose its shape after hours of use. Not sure about cleaning it since this has not been done yet. I would purchase again.
