This is not an instant pot, it is a pressure cooker that you have to learn to use. It does have the safety features, that help. It is confusing following the instructions, all and all it's not bad. Would I buy it again no. but I will learn to use it.

while I have several instant pots in various sizes and like them all I was intrigued by the GoWise oval shape unit and it's non stick feature. For a trial run I decided to cook hard boiled eggs then I made a small batch of white rice. Here are my issues with this cooker. When comparing the GoWise unit to the instant pot I found the GoWise confusing to use. The instructional booklet lacks instructions and it was frustrating on how to operate it. Nor does it explain what the beeps are for e.g., does the beeping sound mean that it reached its pressure or is the cooking time finished. Another annoying feature I found is with it's Preset button. Example: the Preset button sets the rice at 8mins while the booklet says 4. Which is it? I also tried to use the up and down arrows to correct the time but the lowest it'll go is 5mins. In addition, nowhere in the booklet does it explain how to use the manual feature. With this said I'll keep it...perhaps with further uses it'll get easier...stay tuned!

I had a different brand for almost 5 years and wore it out. Really researched before purchasing this one. Very impressed. Size is wonderful, really large and deep. Have pressure cooked beef roast and veggies--turned out wonderful. Have made hard boiled eggs perfectly. Made large batch of soup--yummy. Used pressure canning feature and canned several pints of tomatoes. So far, it has 4 more features than my old one. I'm really pleased with the features, function and capacity of what I've tested out so far. Think this is going to be a happy keeper!
