This is one of those tools that I turn to on a regular basis. With a sharp blade, it cuts really well, with just enough cutting depth to make it through a 2x4. The thing that I like the most is the feeling of safety when I'm cutting with it because of the small size of the blade. I've used it to cut wood, plastic, masonry and tile (with appropriate blades) and it worked well on each material.
