I'm installing used Turf from a college football field. It's incredibly heavy. Each roll weighs 2 tons. Yes. 4000 pounds. I was told the only way to lay it out was to use a forklift and hope for the best. I was told it would be like wrestling a greased alligator. To just slap them down, and overlap the panels. I looked at another used turf field laid out like this , it looks like a pile of warped shingles. Really sloppy and horrible. I was looking for an AT rake to spread the crumb rubber out and would you believe the Amazon algorithm spat out the exact things I needed??? I got two of these turf movers, threaded a heavy tow strap through them which held the teeth closed, hooked it to my utility tractor and holy moly I could move that huge piece of turf any way I wanted, and it did not damage the material!! The grippers did not slip one inch! Heavy galvanized steel, tough tools will last for my entire installation. If you're DIY turfing these are a MUST HAVE. I went ahead and ordered the seam puller and turf knife from the All Turf store, I will review those too! These turf grippers exceeded my expectations in every way.
