Key features

• •DENSE FOLIAGE: Compacta Holly has lush foliage with small leaves about .75 inches long. It is a good choice for a tall ground cover that works well as a foundation plant, dense hedge, or other small group arrangements.
• •HEDGE SHRUB: This evergreen shrub can get 3-6 feet tall and 3-6 feet wide. The lush evergreen foliage is perfect for creating seamless, low-growing hedge rows that can provide texture and structure to your landscape.
• •LOW MAINTENANCE: Ilex compacta can tolerate pruning into topiary shapes, making it a good choice for formal gardens or patios. Prune as needed in midsummer or late winter. Late spring is a good time for trimming holly bushes if pruning for hedges.
• •USDA ZONES: Compact holly is hardy in USDA Zones 6-9. Plant in full sun to provide optimum growth. It does not tolerate drought, so water weekly until established—water weekly during periods of high heat or drought once it has matured.
• •POTTED PLANT: Ships as a 2.5-quart potted plant with soil from the Alabama Gulf Coast. Not guaranteed to be in bloom on arrival. This plant is unavailable to ship to Hawaii and Alaska.
