As an X-truck driver, I understand the importance of constant vigil of what's around you while you drive. Even small things, like a cell phone, can interrupt your vision of the road. A LOT of phone mounts/holders advertise that you can swivel/turn/adjust etc... But in the end, they are limited to joints in their 'stiff,' frameworks. With this goose neck, I was able to attach to the windshield (Very secure attachment I might add) and bend the gooseneck to a great position along the frame, completely out of my field of view, BUT close enough that I could still see the road ahead when I quickly looked to read the GPS etc... Ohh, out of my view of my side-view mirror as well.

I bought 2 of these, one for my car and one for my Freightliner truck. I don't know if the first one was defective or not but the gel that seals to the window melted in the sun and dripped down my windshield and on my dash. The one in the truck which is the 2nd one I bought had a different suction cup and has been working great. Nothing melting and still holding strong. I'm going to buy another one to replace the 1st one because it is the only one I found long enough, holds my phone without hitting the side buttons and allows room for the charge port on the bottom. The neck is very sturdy and stays where you position it even over bouncy roads. Gave 4 of 5 due to the 1st defective one.
