Very accurate detection

I really like how easy it is to set up. Its a stand alone until meaning it doesn't require a hub or anything spicific to work other then regular wifi found in any home. I have mine connected to Smarthings but it can work with Google app as well (or both).
I mounted it to a small piece of a 2x4 and have the sensor on the side just bearly touching the floor near my sump pump. If the pump fails for some reason or water is detected outside the crock it notifies me within seconds.

Some flawsï¼

It can't support two apps to link together, only one app can link!ï¼When the alarm goes off, there is only one mobile phone to remind you, which is not perfect.
Works But I Question the App and Company that makes this

I found this device generally easy to connect to my home Wifi and to communicate with it using the app it has, but because this isn't a well known brand I worry that the app and the "company" behind this product might not be reputable and could be using this device somehow to sniff my home network, or otherwise use it for negative purposes. It doesn't interface with the Apple Home app so it's not been vetted by an American company, and seems instead to have its own "eco system" of devices you can buy from the company that all work with the same app. That's kind of cool, but again the company that makes this isn't well known and for all I know, all of their devices are making it possible for China to infiltrate our homes and steal our data. That being said, when I set it up and dropped the detector cord into water, it sent a notification to my phone via the app and did so ASAP. The sound the device makes when it detects water is silly. It's not alarming, as much as it's just a little ditty. Kind of like the weird ditties washers play now when the cycle completes. So as others have said, you won't likely notice the alarm going off in the house when it goes off, unless hearing a strange ditty playing softly from your basement, would raise your interest immediately. Hope this helps!

This is a pretty great device. A plumber recommended I get a water alarm when out of town for key rooms (have a real estate lock so people can access home once given combo) so in the event a leak occurred and I know to call someone to shut off the water. He made a great point though, "What's the point of an alarm if nobody is home to hear it?" This has a great WIFI capability that will connect to your modem/router and alert you directly to your phone if you're away (which is when these accidents always seem to happen). Also helpful if you have a basement or utility room/shed/attic/crawlspace, etc. (rooms you may not frequently visit).
The app is fairly intuitive and a LITTLE clunky to install, but not bad. You must have a 2.4ghz option on your wifi. Not a big deal, most modems/routers will have both, but you may have to enable the 2.4ghz network.
Insurance agencies generally prefer fire damage over water damage believe it or not, because water you still have to tear up everything, it's caught too late (fireman are sent once a fire alarm goes), and mold damage is tremendously expensive. This is pretty cheap peace of mind and your own insurance for $27. Haven't tried multiple yet but thinking I'm picking up another 2-3.

Works well so far. Can be linked to Alexa through eWeLink account

Does what it is supposed to. Senses when water is on the probes and comes with extension wire to sense with having the device on the floor or fitting somewhere. Connect the eWeLink app/account with Alexa and Alexa can see it also.
Only reason for 4 star is because the device only gives status on state CHANGE. Upside of this would be significantly better battery life, but wasnt ideal for me as I wanted to use it to have a status even if my wifi went out and came back on. In this scenario my smart home stuff wont be able to tell there is no alarm when wifi reconnects. (In my scenario the water will shutoff when wifi disconnects/reconnects because the sensor wont update "No Water" randomly. It would of course still function to sense a leak again as that would be the alarm state change and send an update. I wish was the option for a frequency of status update regardless of alarm state. Less battery, but more useful.
