Came right away, husband put together quickly. Fits nicely in our hall entry. I searched several sites for a hall tree and for many months, but came back to this one. I just finished assembling this unit, here are my thoughts.
I did inventory as I took it out of the box, making sure all the pieces were in good condition & I had everything I needed before I started. Off to a GREAT start - every screw (most fastened with a provided hex key) had one extra! A+ for that enormous detail. Also each different fastener was in a different bag- no spending 15 minutes or more dividing out the 50ish pieces. Another A+! Most of the parts were labeled or very obvious, no real guess work.
I am a slow, methodical assembler after too many mistakes and taking work apart, plus I was interrupted. It took me about 2.5-3 hours to fully assemble. Unlike many picture assembly pieces, I felt this one was above average for being clear about the pieces (labeled by number) and screws (labeled by alphabet). I had two questions that required long looks at the diagrams but I feel confident I did it right. A- for the diagrams. While I was assembling, I managed to strip a screw on the bottom. That was a first for me but it wouldn't grab anymore so that extra "˜A' screw was put to good use!
Overall quality"¦. B+/A- There's a small bench for putting on shoes, probably only good for children. It's sturdy enough for the hats & coats I intend to hang and works to get shoes off the floor. There's enough room for a few pairs of shoes, 3-5 tops, more for children's shoes. And the raised shoe platform means wet/snowy boots can dry better. I'm pleased.
