This is exactly what we needed to organize our projects and reading materials. It coordinates with the other furniture in the dining room/study area. The other furniture in the room is heirloom hand me downs from our grandparents. In particular, I did not want cheap pressed wood. We did not install the extra metal decorations and it looks just right.

Even the instructions aren't fully accurate. As a result of all of this, it took me a while to set this up. Close to 6 hours.

Be prepared, this will take a while to assemble, many pieces! My husband and son put it together, time consuming and a page of the instructions seemed to be missing. All the pieces were included (some reviews stated hardware was missing so I was thankful). I have 2 pieces of 'Mexican pine' I purchased in a store years ago and they have thicker wood pieces and better pulls/hardware on them...but overall cabinet from Amazon is pretty sturdy and nice looking for the price. Its just going be in a guest bedroom. I did see a lower price on 2 other sites, but was worried the return might be more difficult if anything had been wrong with it. I would recommend this cabinet IF you have help and have patience ; )

I purchased this cabinet to replace one that came damaged. The first thing I noticed was how much better this was packaged. The boxes came inside additional protective boxes. The instructions were pretty good if you carefully follow the pictures. There are no written instructions. I have much experience assembling "knock down" furniture, so I had little problem. The one thing I noticed about this cabinet compared to similar cabinets is that the wood top and lower bottom boards were finger jointed instead of long laminated boards. The joints were very tight and this marginally detracted from the overall appearance. To make assembly easier I separated the hardware into an old silverware tray with the part number tags visible. I was only missing two small screws for the drawer pulls that were easily replaced. Overall this was a vey nice cabinet and would purchase again if needed.
