We have a retractable screen door that keeps opening up because the magnet is not strong enough. We bought this and all I can say is if you want a super hold, this one is for you. Almost too strong for what we need but it will definitely not open by itself anymore.

For seventeen dollars, the screws for the plate should be the correct style. They should be flat on the top, NOT oval. They should not be sitting above the surface of the plate. The catch was easy to install but the plate is prevented from touching the magnets because of this issue. I will see if the manufacturer will reach out and supply the proper type.
