Pretty, but claw clip is small
Michelle Thrasher✓ Verified Purchase•October 13, 2023
This was purchased to be clipped over my daughter's bun for a dance performance. The claw clip was too small to clip over her bun, but I was able to remove the clip and still use the ponytail over her bun.
Can be good with some extra work!

My daughter needed a hair piece for a pageant so I ordered 3 of these in different colors and none of them matched her hair. I bought root cover up spray in her color and sprayed the ponytail and it looks great! I also put some dry shampoo on it to get rid of the unnatural synthetic shine. I think it's gonna look cute! The claw clip clipped right onto her fine hair!
Love this hair clip piece

When I got this hair clip piece, the first thing I thought was it's as pretty with the long curls. I quickly had to try it out, to see how well it matched with my hair color, how it would look & if I would have trouble putting on by myself. I was very pleased that it did match my hair color pretty well, only the clip is a bit hard to work. I didn't get on that great the first time that I tried to attach it to my ponytail, but did a much better job of it the second time that I tried. When I tried the second time, what I did was got the clip open as much as I could with gripping it with one hand & then getting it to open up a little with prying it with my other hand. Once I did that I just tried to keep it open with the hand that I used to grip it open. I'm sure that with some more practice with it, I could get it on better. I was very pleased with how it looked on me, though. I got this hair piece for an upcoming event where I'm going to dress up somewhat as Belle from Beauty and the Beast & thought that this would be a very nice, but easy way to style my hair. My only complaint about this is that I found it hard to work with clip. Thankfully, I have some time before my event, so I can practice with it.
It really was perfect

Used for a costume in a play...late 18th century lady...I have long hair (but did not want to curl it for three nights straight) so put half mine up (covered by a large hat) and left a low bun to attach the hairpiece. It looked awesome. People asked if it was real and got a lot of compliments. The curls stayed lovely. My struggle was putting it on...the clip is tight (but I suppose that is also a good thing). Also the hair closer to the clip gets frizzy as that is what you are contacting to clip on the piece. For the money, love, love, love.
Great hair piece!

I really love this hair piece! I used it to make a Victorian hairdo for an operetta performance. I actually flipped it upside down because I didn't like the look of the long ponytail on me. Flipping it upside down made it really full and I was wearing a hat which hid any bumps created by wearing it that way. It blended in with my hair pretty seamlessly, especially with the hat helping bridge things.
It remained bouncy through tech week and two weekends of performances! I wasn't taking the best care of it so it did get a little ratty by the end (not helped by wearing it upside down) but if you work through a curl, either with your finders or comb/brush and twist you can easily get the curls to reform. And this wouldn't have been noticed from stage. I just became a little obsessive about it.
I really love the jaw clip. The hair is decently heavy and so it's important to have a strong attachment mechanism. I also added a comb underneath to add a bit more support. I will say that the first few times I wore it, the weight did surprise me and it was a little uncomfortable but I got used to it.
Using this made doing my hair quick and easy. I used a small curling iron to curl the front inch or two of my hair. I pinned my bangs back with combs. The bulk of my hair went into a simply ponytail with a spiral holder for extra grip. I put the clip into the ponytail. I then twisted my real curls and pinned them back to blend my hair with the fake hair. I pinned up some of the fake curls in kind of a loose bun at the crown of my head. Then I pinned the hat on top of that bun.
