This works. Ignore the negative comments. I have been using avast for years, even have the cleanup as well. Since I had it before all I did was enter the activation code. And that's it, 2 years protection for the price of 1. Just wish I discovered this sooner. I would advise waiting for you previous subscription to finish before putting the new code. The response to the question implied that I would keep my days plus the addition 2 years but that didn't happen. Oh well I only lost 25 days.
This really works and it is so much more affordable. My computer runs smoothly, the cleanup i would recommend even if it's a bit expensive. I'm not a tech person so I like the simple stuff.
If this is your first time using avast download then go under my license, you will see "enter activation code" , enter the long code there and your done.
You can also customize to avoid the ads for other products like the cleanup and vpn by going under settings , general, privacy. Simply uncheck the boxes.

I've been using this for 3 years now, I have worked in IT for 15+ years and used all the big names, this one does what I need and then some, like the VPN which is included in the Ultimate, All the big names including this one can have faults either by missing something or by false alarm on a good file, I think you have to look at ratings and costs when you have 3 or more devices that need protection, this one does 5 and I install it to 4 devices. That said count how many you need for your devices including cell phone, tablets, etc.

This is the first time I use this software and so far it is working great. I hope it continues to serve it's purpose because the last anti virus protection which I used for many years was horrible. I finally decided to clean my computer and deleted the old product from my hard drive and computer in it's entirety. This program ran smoothly on my old computer which has plenty of memory still in it. I will repurchase this software next year if it continues to run great. So far my expectations have been met.

Have used Avast Internet security for many years & I have never had a security issue!
