I hate bringing a big car seat to when I travel, especially when all I need it for is an uber ride to and from the airport. So this is perfect for those trips in keeping my son safe while having something compact and easily packable in my luggage. And it's NHSTA approved! It's also super easy to use. Totally worth the money.

I have a 5 year old and 6 year old who are 35 and 44 lbs. My 5 is 40.5 inches tall and my 6 year old is 47 inches . I initially bought the S and the L, thinking that 6 was going to be too tall for the S.

It turns out, the L was wayyyyy too big for her and the S fit perfectly. Meanwhile, the S was too big for 5. So I quickly bought an XS for 5. It arrived and fit perfectly, just in type for us to go on vacation!

My kids wore these vests for 3 weeks while we traveled around Europe. They worked well for us! Once we got the rhythm down, 6 was able to latch herself in completely (and I just checked to make sure it was right).

We will continue to use the 5 point harness seats at home. They are more comfortable for the kids and- let's be honest- their bulk makes me feel like they're safer.

However, these vests are perfect for traveling. We will also use them when they need to hop into someone else's car!

Pretty much does what it says on the tin. The problems are (a) it is not legal in continental Europe - although (quasi) legal in the UK; (b) the metal retainers for the seat belt are fussy to engage and disengage, although I am not sure how to make this more user-friendly.

Overall, if you need this, it's pretty much the only game in town, although a booster seat will do almost the same job - legally - for much less money, albeit in a bulkier form factor.

I've had a lot of work travel lately and have enjoyed taking my family along with me. Our kiddo still needs a car seat but lugging one around on planes every time was just not in the cards for us, especially for international travel. This has been awesome. I've had to educate some rideshare drivers of the ability to use this in lieu of a traditional car seat, but the company makes that easy. They have flyers they can provide, and if the state you are traveling to isn't on the list, they are happy to create a flyer citing the relevant information for the specific jurisdiction. Great customer service.

This worked great for our international travel. For smaller children I strongly recommend paring with a booster seat. We have two small children and was able to fit both harnesses and two inflatable booster seats in a under seat (airline) carryon roller bag.
