There's an indent, a ring, where the funnel tube/spout joins the cup part. So whatever you may pour through will Always have some left in the cup part. Annoyed, I measured how much liquid gets left in the cup. It's not quite 1/8 tsp. but it's more than 1/16. For the cost of return I'll work with it But I recommend looking for a set that was made in one piece and drains All the liquid through without remainder...

I use this for making batches of tea "” the metal straining insert for the funnel gets any and ALL debris from tea bags and anything in the honey. It strains so well that it is necessary to lift the funnel up from the bottle's lip to allow liquid to flow. Although the liquid going through the strainer and funnel is very hot, the handle on funnel remains comfortable to the touch, making lifting the funnel easy.
I don't use this for any other task, but consider it indispensable for this job.
