Ramp Rear Wheel Issue
Guy from MN✓ Verified Purchase•August 11, 2023
After assembling this product, it seems to be well made and functional. My issue is I didn't notice until too late that my rear wheel is wider than the front. The front wheel drops in nice, but my rear wheel is roughly six inches and doesn't fit within the track.
My cycle is 300lbs so well within the 400lbs range. I'm wondering if the ramp could be adapted to fit the rear wheel. Could BlackWidow manufacture an aluminum H platform for the rear of the ramp that would support a wider wheel and attach with say the front wheel sizing bolt or a second one? Is there a reason such adaptation wouldn't work? Hoping to hear back from BlackWidow? Thanks.

Lightweight, relatively inexpensive, one person installation and removal.

Overall, this seems like a good carrier for my TW200. I was pretty disappointed in the quality of the welds between the main supports and the cross braces that the bike sits on. They are not pretty, but they will likely do the job. It came with all of the hardware and pieces. The instructions were pretty straight forward and logical. With a basic socket set it can be assembled by one person. It's awkward, but not heavy to handle when installing and removing it from the receiver on my truck. I have a 2 1/2" receiver on my Ram 2500 which requires me to use a 2 1/2" to 2" reducer since this is made for a 2" receiver. The anti-wobble accessory seems to do the job, just don't over tighten as the steel plate the four bolts thread into isn't very thick. I added two ratchet straps between the outside of the carrier and the tow hook rings on my receiver to assist in stabilizing the bike going down the road, not sure if they really do anything. I test drove this set up all over town for a shake down run and the anti wobble bolts did stay tight, the assembly was still solidly assembled (nothing loosened up, and all of the straps kept the bike secure.). It does bounce around an unsettling amount at times when crossing rough terrain/rail road tracks/etc. but maybe that is to be expected and nothing to worry about. I'm heading up to the Keweenaw Peninsula and hauling my T-Dub up there and back. I'm hoping this carrier will do the job and last for many years.
Well built

Excellent appearance. I haven't been able to use it yet. Assembly went well
Not for scooter tires!

For the price, this is not a bad rack. However, I returned it because the tires on my Honda Navi are too small to roll over the rungs on the tray. The tires get stuck and unless you are very tall and strong, you will not be able to solo load a scooter or mini-moto on this rack. Spend the extra money and buy a Mototote. For those of you who ride bikes with full-size tires, this rack will probably work well for you.
Couldn't ask for a better product.

I'd never used anything like this before. I've always had a truck to transport any bikes I needed to but I just don't have one now.
The hitch rating on my model Y is 350lbs vertical on the tong. This worked great for transporting my 290lb bike 300 miles the first time I tried it.
Honestly it's pretty scary at first ant bump you hit I was scared it would just snap off but everything went fine and got the job done!
Really easy to tear this down and put it up again all by myself too. Was honestly just easy and straightforward to use.
