Love the size, that it's glass not plastic!
The plastic lids are fine, but I wish there were glass covers for cooking.

I am the grandma that makes the feasts; we generally have 8-10 people here. Every year it's difficult storing the extra food. First, I make some of the dinner early so I won't be too exhausted to enjoy the occasion. What do I do with all that stuffing after it's prepared, but before it's served? And after it's all over with, sometimes the younger people take enough leftovers that storage isn't an issue, but sometimes I have a lot of food left over. This year I decided to prepare myself ahead of time.

Big storage containers cost a ridiculous amount of money, but even if they were free, I have to consider other factors; for example, where am I going to store these big boys in between feasts? There are larger containers than these, but they cost more, and they take up more space in the fridge, freezer, or cupboard. I decided to search for 2 quart containers. I hadn't specifically decided to buy glass, but after looking at what is available, I decided to go with it. There are 2 containers, and since each is good for two quarts of food, I have enough storage between them to store a gallon of food. Having two containers rather than one big one gives me more flexibility when it comes to arranging the fridge, etc.

It wasn't until they arrived that I was struck by the similarity to Pyrex, which is known to be reliable. I decided to compare; I pulled out my trusty 2 quart casserole with the blue lid and positioned them side by side. I examined them with and without the lids. And right away I can see that this Razab item is a better choice for storage because of its shape. If I'm putting something in the oven, I want Pyrex because of its prominent handles, but if I'm putting it in the fridge for several days, or in the freezer, those handles are nothing but space eaters. The Razab, by comparison, is a rectangle with rounded edges, and it's a little taller; it doesn't have any handles at all. The lid is a lot better than Pyrex's, which snaps on and is a bit confusing at times; the Razab lid snaps closed on all four sides, and there's no sticking or difficulty. I have not tested the claim that it's water tight. Best of all, this product is significantly cheaper than my beloved Pyrex.

I always hesitate to give a product a five star rating when it's still new to me. This time I do so because I'm fairly confident that this item will stand up, and because the holidays are close and a lot of folks are shopping right now, not later. BUT if I see problems, I will be back in a flash to tell you about it.
