Definitely sketchy repair but worked with great results. Make sure you don't put sealant or JB weld on the inside of the valve to seal it as it will make not fix your problem and you will have to replace the valve cover. Definitely recommend buying.

It fit perfectly. It was very tight before I put gasket maker to seal it I had did a fit test and I struggled to pull it off that's how great the fit was for my 2008 528i and a warning when you apply the sealant and then put the pcv valve up there use a GREAT amount of PRESSURE to push it down and i haven't had the whistle noise or idle issue.

Perfect fit and work!
You need to gently remove (destroy) old pcv valve from valve cover (It's kind of thermally installed) then probably resurface / sand / dremmel to ensure smooth circumference.
Keep and clean inner spring for the new pcv valve.
I removed valve cover for other tasks.
Grey gasket maker was used to ensure proper seal.

I have a 2007 bmw x3 this replacement part was easy to install it made such a difference to the idle. You will have to use the spring on the old one a little bit of JB weld gasket maker and all set. I recommend you tube for ideas to remove the old pcv.
