I am 6 feet 192 lbs and have been using boxing as a workout for awhile. For the price this bag is an excellent snag. It doesn't quite have the same motion as a sway bag on double rope, However it works just as well. It comes with overly padded gloves for an experienced user. I use Wyox gel wraps you can get on Amazon they are a hybrid glove / wrap.
Make sure you tighten the adjustment knob really tight lol I sent the top flying through my house the first day. If you're a tall boxer over 6 feet you may want a taller set or a bag on ropes. Fast and easy set up with everything you need included. Nice thing about a pedestal bag is the ease of moving it. A fun workout no matter your age.

I bought it for my son who has ADHD and maybe some sensory issues -- sometimes he just drives me crazy beating on things like furniture, pillows, mattresses, etc. so I finally bought him a punching bag - I chose this out of the ones that hang from the ceiling or the huge ones that are $300+. He loves it. And it is standing up to his beatings :) I try to give him a variety of physical activities so this is just one more thing we added and we all really like having it around! He's 11 but he's 5'3" and 130 pounds and it's a perfect height for him.

Purchased this for my 10 yr old. She loves it. Takes up very little room, the base doesn't move at all when she punches it. I love that's its adjustable so that it'll grow with her. Because we have wood floors upstairs, it is kind of noisy when it's being punched, but that's expected.
