Well, I tried this and it works. I've never used this product before. I was just confused because one of the templates didn't have any paper backing (?) While the rest did. No directions as to leave it on but once I looked better I felt it was to be left on. (?) One of the sashers didn't have a hole drilled at all on the top to place on the ring, so I just used the slot. It looks a little wonky on the ring but figured that's ok. The package was alread opened on the inside of the shipping envelope. Not sure what that was about either but just kept it since it does seem to work pretty well and all parts were there it seemed.
Many uses. Perfect for making quilt binding

I have the product that costs twice as much but this one is better. If the iron touches the more expensive set, it melts. These move the fabric with the side of the iron, they don't melt. Better control. My set came complete, no opened package. The pins are a nice addition, but I prefer using a fork pin to hold the fabric end on my pressing mat. The holes and the ring to hold the pieces is really helpful - I kept losing the expensive ones on my cutting table. FYI, the paper is meant to be removed. Plastic templates are cut from paper-backed sheets. I've purchased other cutting templates which specify removing the paper.
For quilt binding fold a 2-1/2 inch strip in half, using the 1-1/4 inch sasher tool. So easy! For skinnier binding use 2-1/4 inch strips & the 1-1/8 sasher tool.
One suggestion: a 3/8th inch size. That's the perfect size for ties. 1/2 inch is too big, 1/4 inch is a pain to feed through the sewing machine. 3/8 inch would be perfect.

I used it today to fold 1 1/2 inch polyester ribbon in half to use as binding. I had NO problem using it or following the directions, but I had watched a Youtube video before ordering it. It took me minutes instead of an hour.
People have complained about the packaging. The bottom was slit open, and one sasher had come loose and was in the packing, but all ten sashers were there as was the O-ring and the pins. I have had no issue with the backing being loose or coming off.
I also love that my fingers are NOT anywhere near the iron as it's ironing the folds.
I'm going with five stars in spite of the packing because all items were included and none were damaged.
