Pros outweigh the cons. This remote is great for the price. Congress pre programmed for Xbox one. I love it, no more using my controller. Only down side is that you literally have to point it directly at the xbox lol but not a deal breaker.
Hope this helps.

THIS IS MY SECOND TIME BUYING IT. EXCELLENT SMALL FOR MY SMALL HANDS. EASY, BUT BE AWARE TO NOT DROP IT ON TILE FLOORS BECAUSE EVENTUALLY THE BUTTOMS WON'T WORK. THIS TIME I BOUGHT SEPARATELY A COVER (FUNDA DE SILICONA PARA CONTROL REMOTO ROKU CLIMBERER COMPATIBLE) AND FIT PERFECT FOR IT
It’s perfect, no fuss

It's been two and a half years since I bought this, and I just ordered another one. Why? Because it's the best and easiest remote for Xbox One I've ever seen and it works right out of the box. And it's a true workhorse. The only reason I'm buying a new one is because our new dog decided to use it as a chew toy when we weren't looking. My fault. Not the dog's fault and definitely not the remote's fault. I got this thing in order to use the Xbox for streaming TV, Netflix, prime, DVDs, etc. I hate using the Xbox controller for such tasks. It's awkward and hard to hold in one hand. This remote solves all of that, and I need to do absolutely zero thinking or tinkering for it to work. If that's what you need, ignore those ridiculous bad reviews by people who basically bought the wrong product for their needs. Just buy it. Thank me later.
Works for what I got it for, almost!

In an effort to consolidate the amount of remotes I use, I got this very Roku looking, programmable remote. It actually works pretty much for everything I got it for.
There are no dedicated media buttons here - at least, those that control Blu-ray-specific content or a back button - but the generic media controls are there, and world. We can also assume that the Xbox label buttons here are for Ahead, Back, eXtra and, I don't know, YOLO :-)
Best part about this little wonder, is that it was able to successfully clone the power buttons from my HDMI switcher remote and my soundbar remote, so I should effectively only have to pick up one remote from now on whenever I want to start watching things!
Unfortunately, the volume buttons are not reliably clonable from any of my other remotes at all - the PDP remote that communicates with the Xbox which sends HDMI signals to the TV to adjust its volume, the Bestisan soundbar whose feedback of course cannot be seen on the TV, even the original TV (Hisense VIDAA) remote; none of those work with the volume buttons here.
Fortunately, my setup allows me to use Alexa to adjust the volume up and down on my tv, so, the volume buttons are not necessarily needed on any of my remotes; they're just handy for adjusting volume on a snap basis. I don't often need that, though. So, it's "Alexa, volume up/down on my TV" or "...Mute/unmute my TV" for me.
Good call on me, getting this. Should reduce a lot of unnecessary reaching for stuff I don't need to reach for. Thank you, maker of this cool little thing!

great value for xbox one owners to turn any panel into a smart tv

great little remote to use with hdmi arc/ anynet sound bar, samsung tv and xbox one console.
the story is my really bad but not cheap samsung tv running android smarthub crapped out on me. basically don't buy a samsung tv cos their latest update literally obsoleted my smart tv and turned it into a plain panel by installing a firmware update that took up all 1gb of storage leaving no space for software update and installs. sad. that's another one star review and story for another time.
so i'm now forced to use my xbox one as a media center. no biggie it actually runs fast and works better than the slow Tizen samsung dumb-tv hub. the problem is though the xbox one controller sucks cos it powers off after a while when idle. also, fast forwarding and rewinding with it sucks.
so i got this little remote and managed to program my yamaha ats1080 sound bar from costco into the "DIY" buttons. i also programmed my tv power on button and "source" buttons into the 4 DIY programmable slots. the volume buttons were also programmable. which are a little awkwardly placed on the sides of this small remote ...just know if you have super big hands this can get annoying.
so now i'm pretty much set with this one remote. i can control most functions on my xbox for media use. at $15, this remote is a great value. i highly recommend it.
oh one last gripe for hdmi arc soundbars...anynet works in a way that may preclude you from switching back from bluetooth if you change the source on certain soundbars to bluetooth using this remote. you can switch to bluetooth but anynet won't let you switch back.
