I installed this by myself about 2 months ago. I am 37yrs old and can hold my own but it did give me a good work out. You will need a little muscle to get it into place properly. Because muscle is needed to install it, I wouldn't call it super easy to install. However, that it why it so strong. My 2 year can pull, I mean pull, on our curtain and it won't budge. Npw will it hold up to a grown adult falling into, hopefully i never find out. I did not use the additional hardware that can with it, I did not want to drill into my new tile. Would it hold up against an adult falling into it with the hardware were you have to drill, probably.

I have a window above my sink that gets really strong sunlight in the evening. It's got some kind of metal frame that makes drilling into it a PITA. I had cobbled together some magnets and a metal curtain rod, but it was too easy to pull it down. Opening and closing the curtain required a careful touch. The whole thing can get tugged on while stuff is being moved around in the sink or on the counter next to the sink.
This bar was perfect. It's got a very wide size range but also a lot of customizability. It was a bit tedious to unwind it out to the width I needed but then it went up nice and easy. It hasn't been pulled down at all and I don't worry about it doing so either. At the same time, I feel fully confident that I can swap out my current curtains with another set that's less sun-bleached.

This is for use outside (for outdoor shower) and replaces a painted screwed in rod that has rusted where paint has peeled. I expect this product to last as it is strong, sturdy, fits snuggly and seems to have a quality finish. This is one of those purchases that provided a pleasant surprise when it exceeded my expectations. I'll update if any issues arise.
