Was hesitate after reading some of the reviews but I ordered it because it was worth a try for the money. Not to bad to install. Hardest part is keeping the gaskets in place while installing. I used some silicone gasket to hold and let dry and that worked perfect. My Onan 4000 had not run in at least six years so I know the carburetor was bad. After I installed it, it fired right up and has been running for hours! I'll write another update post if something goes wrong but for now, I'm completely satisfied!

I was a little hesitant to get an aftermarket carb and it seems like there are many to choose from.  I tried to clean the one on my 4000 Onan by removing it and soaking the jets as best as I could. It still didn't fix the problem which I feel was just being gummed up from ethanol fuel and sitting in the garage for extended periods of time.Â
Once the original carb was removed it took less than 15 minutes to re-install the new carb. It started right up after priming and ran with a load just fine. I've also let it run for 20 minutes later on and still no problems. So for now this has been an awesome quick fix to the carburetor problem. and the price over and OEM is un-real.
A quick tip is to put the gaskets on the carb ahead of time. I used a small amount of silicone adhesive and let it cure a couple of hours before I started the install. This holds them in place when you're trying to get the 10mm screws in. Also a good time to change the oil, spark plug and filter.
Last tips, Run a fuel stabilizer in your gas to maybe help the gumming problem and install a gas line valve to shut the fuel off to the carb, and run it dry.
