The fit was just right. Snug but not tight. I do not plan to layer heavily, but rather throw over a tank/tee/dress. So for that, this fit and size were just right. I was concerned about the distressing but that is actually perfect! It doesn't look sloppy or too much. It is just enough. Slightly cropped waist hits juuuuuust at my waist band. Not super cropped to mid torso. Just a slight waistband kissing crop. Again, perfect for pairing with a summer dress to get ya into fall.
