I ordered 3 boxes of the Red Longleaf Pine Straw to fill an island located in my front yard. I rolled out the first box. I decided it would look better if I pulled it apart and allowed the straw to fall in place after I shook it apart. This product was easy to work with. It only took 2.25 boxes to fill the area. 1 of the boxes had a veeery small amount of brown pine straw.( it didn't get fully dyed red in the process I guess ). I just put the veeery small amount of brown on the bottom and covered it up with some of the red. I wore some old clothing when I put the pine straw out. I was glad I did because my clothing and gloves were reddish from the pine straw. I recommend wearing an old long sleeve top.
Overall I am extremely satisfied with this product. I will definitely order this product again when it is time to replenish.

I moved from Alabama to Oregon. Back home, pine straw could be purchased at Hone Depot or Lowes. Here, in Oregon, it is not available. I find bags of bark are too heavy for me to deal with. I prefer the box of pine straw.
You get way more than you would in store.

I am very happy with the amount they gave me and price. Will be buying 4 more boxes.
FYI: I would recommend buying extra box. Does thin out overtime if your doing a large area.
Also it is PET friendly!! My Great Pyrenees and Jack Russell rolled all in my flower bed and turned from white to red, but not once made them sick and washed right off.
I have brought mulch before and it made them very sick.
