Key features
- •CERTIFIED SAFETY. Ski helmet has undergone intensive safety tests. Fully complies with USA ASTM F-2040 safety standards for helmets used in winter sports such as skiing, snowboarding and other snow sports etc.

Not so comfy
Warm & comfortable helmet at a great price

This is a great helmet at a great price. My 10yo daughter is learning how to ski this season and getting her geared up can get crazy expensive even buying some stuff used. I did not want to get a used helmet so after looking thru the online offerings and what amazon has I decided to try this one. This helmet is really nice - it is Warm & comfortable. Well made, nice padding, removable insulation liner and a padded chin strap that is easy to adjust & get on/off. There is a adjustment toggle on the back of the helmet to tighten up the entire inner bracing to get the snug safe fit you want. The liner has fleece around the crown and ears for warmth and vents at the top to keep her from overheating. The goggle strap is easy to use and holds secure. There is a little lip on the brim that holds her goggles secure when she is not using them. We ski on So Cal mountains (Big Bear & Mammoth) where the conditions are never really that cold - she has never complained about her head being cold. The vents on top are open, you cannot close them - this may be an issue for those who ski on bigger, colder mountains or in heavy weather - which we do not. I love the bright turquoise color - makes it really easy to spot her on the slopes and it matches her hydro-backpack so she is styling on the slopes.
Haven't used yet

I'm giving 4 stars for style and fitting. It looks and fits great. I planned to go snowboarding this past winter, but due to the storms, they blocked the roads, so I haven't been able to use it yet. I'll update my review once I actually wear it.
Decent helmet but with design “holes†and oddities
AV✓ Verified Purchase•August 26, 2023
This is a decent helmet especially for the price, hence my rating on the higher side, but it does have some design "holes" (literally) as I note below:
(1) The helmet has holes on the top presumably for venting, but that design combined with the coarse-perforated inner lining means that it is not rain proof. Rain water or melting snow will simply run right in. This may not be a problem if you are unlikely to be skiing or snowboarding unless its sunny, but I got it for commuting on my bicycle in winter, so I need more rain protection. My current biking helmet is aerodynamic and has big holes (by design) for summer venting with no ear protection forcing me to wear separate ear muffs, so I bought this skiing helmet hoping to get both head and ear protection.
(2) The top of the ear flaps are hard plastic and are not attached to the helmet itself. They seem to settle in place fine while wearing, but the design feels odd and cheap and fragile, and I see no obvious value of it.
(3) It's less warm compared to other helmets I've tried. The inner lining is thin and perforated as I also note above. There is thicker ear protection and it feels warm enough in the high 40s or 50s, but I am not sure if it will be warm enough for me in the 20s or low 30s, as someone who is skinny and gets very cold easily.
Overall, this reasonably priced helmet is decent value for the money, looks good, and is functionally fine when the weather is not wet and not too cold (but not otherwise).
