Vary happy with this lathe it may not have the most power compared to the more expensive lathe's but if you use it right it gets just about any job you can fit in it done and done well
Not too mention it's impressive 40 inch bed I've made more than a few baseball bats with this lathe and many if not all of the lathes in this price range are just way too small for that
I've also made plenty of small cups and other stuff and so far it has been capable of doing everything I've thrown at it

Iit is difficult to build the stand instruction not clear

I have used this machine daily for 7 months now. I've had to sharpen the blade once, but it was super simple to do. If you can assemble an ikea bookshelf, you can assemble this machine no problem. the height adjuster is accurate and very simple to use. I like that the handle for the adjuster is on the top rather than the side. Over time, the frame that it stands on has gotten wobbly. More than likely because I try to slide it around the shop and don't always pick it up each time I need to move it, so partially my own fault there. My main concern, and why I give it 4 stars, is that the receptacle meant for cleanup of the shavings gets clogged very easily and too often even with a powerful shop vac. In all, I am happy with the bargain price I paid for it and I don't expect needing a new one for the next decade.
