When I lived up north I had no problem using my pneumatic tools without a separator. I moved down south and every tool was spitting a stream of water. I installed it on my compressor and everything stays dry. I love it. It saved my tools.

Quick delivery and in good condition. Installed it between an after cooler and the tank. It automatically drains after the pressure switch shuts down the motor and unloads the compressor. I haven't had it on the compressor long enough to judge how much, if any, condensate is bypassing the filter. So far very happy with how it works.

These usually last two or three years then the plastic bowl starts to crack from pressure. My setup runs a max of 175 psi. A simple device that does what it is designed to do.
Not sure how reliable the "auto-drain" will be.

The instructions Included in the box indicate three drain options. Auto, semi-auto, and manual. each shows different fittings. There are drawings of each type. This one looks like the manual drain . No other drain fittings are included. It would appear that there should be one of each type included but in fact there is only the one that looks like a manual drain but works like an auto drain. Very confusing.
