This is my second purchase of a Crucial SSD, the first was the MX500 to replace a laptop mechanical drive and I was so impressed with that drive that I purchased another larger, (BX500) one for my desktop.
The difference in the machines performance is significant. I started buying Crucial drives after a poor experience with a supplier when attempting to buy a Samsung SSD. The Samsung drive I received was a used drive with bad sectors and I had to return. Fortunately, the retailer issued a full refund.

I've had no issues with the Crucial drives and both are working flawlessly. I feel they are an exceptional value and offer very similar speeds and features as the more expensive drives. Both the MX and BX drives have favorable Customer ratings and I would not hesitate to purchase additional Crucial products. I used Macrium Reflect to copy the OS to the new drives but Acronis has partnered with Crucial and offers free transfer software if desired.

Didn't want to put much money into an old Acer Aspire 5750, but swapping out the 640GB spinning drive for the 480GB SSD has really breathed new life into the system.

I don't use this drive as a regular drive, it's an ssd drive, and not very pricey. I only bought it to consolidate 5 smaller storage drives into one and dispose of the old slow hard drives , which still work and have proven there worth in time . They drive is nice and works , again it's almost like a portable drive to me , I do not have it installed in a computer or plan on it . But it works perfect

This is a great drive for my old Dell 2012 laptop. It boots Linux Mint Mate 21.2 on this old machine (my main driver) ready to go in 20 secs. Why would i need a new laptop? I was using a 512Gb Silicon Power and ordered their 1Tb SSD. Then i read that this Crucial BX500 was much better quality than most other SSD, so i cancelled the SP drive and ordered this one. I certainly have (almost) no complaints but i can't tell myself, as the SP one still booted in 20 secs too. Maybe it will last much longer as since it was only about 5 bucks more i figured it was worth trying out. It works great.
Now the only slight complaint i have is that the retaining screw hole is very slightly misplaced so that, when i fit the plastic fascia with the screw fitted to the drive, it does not quite reach so it will not boot. To be fair, this is not the only drive that this has happened with on this Dell but the SP one DID work fine. So i just locate and push in the drive with my fingers and leave the trim off and then it works fine. It's a bit annoying but since i rarely move the laptop anyway it's not worth returning. It does lose a star, though, for that.
Other than that one ding i am extremely happy with this drive and it does everything i need. By the way, i can recommend Rescuezilla thoroughly for anyone wishing to clone their drive. It is free, has a GUI (unlike Clonezilla, which is great too), just uses a USB stick and worked perfectly for me to clone my 512 to 1Tb drive. Now i have tons of room again.

Ordered this ssd to replace the optical drive on my old Acer Aspire One Pro. My hope was to pick up some speed for this old laptop.
The Crucial ssd is very nicely packaged with a molded plastic cover instead of just the hardware hanging out. I wondered if it would actually fit in the laptop with this cover, but it did with no problems.
I installed the drive in my Acer then installed Windows 10 and other software. Once completed, the laptop booted up with no problems. After some clean up and a defrag, the Acer was again in business and while not lighting-fast, it is noticeably faster that it was with the old optical drive.
Thanks to Crucial. That gave me a few more years of service our of an old, but nice laptop.
