These tapers are real wax and are quite pretty. The ivory is a soft ivory and should blend nicely with most any decor. The flame itself doesn't move, but it flickers from within and looks very realistic with the black wick. The remote provides a timer function and also lets you control the brightness. The candles add coziness and charm however you choose to group them and can be used in any room without having to monitor them as you would a real flame. Set them as desired using the remote, and then place the remote in a safe place as the company doesn't offer additional remotes for purchase at this time. The candles also make great gifts at a nice price point and I would purchase them again.

These are great, love the flicker, love that I can set a timer. However, they're on the same wavelength as one of my TV remotes so I can't have any in my living room. If I do I find them randomly on after using remotes from other devices. And I'm not pointing the remotes at the candle either, it's actually the opposite direction. Cool but don't expect to keep them on a timer unless you want to turn them on and off every time you use them.

I purchased these to use on my fireplace mantle during the Christmas and Winter season. I appreciate the realistic color of the flame, the remote control and the timer function. The feel of the candles are wax like ðŸ‘ðŸ¼

These battery operated tapers are very nice! They are packaged well and look beautiful. 5 of the 6 candles work perfectly with the remote which is why they are rated 4 out of 5 stars. Unfortunately one of the candles does not work with the remote - we need to turn it on & off separately, and it does not respond to the remote timer, mode or dim features. Otherwise they are as convincing as real burning candles.

We used these this past Christmas as window candles. Bought some cheap plastic bases for them and couldn't be happier with how they performed. The flicker flame mode looks so real I was afraid I'd get odd comments from neighbors on why I put REAL candles in my windows!
The color is a warm yellow that accurately mimics a real candle flame. If you want to use them as dinner table candles, they look and feel like the real thing as the outer shell is made of actual candle wax - or it appears to be at least. They won't look like cheap plastic tubes next to your fine China.
For Christmas, I set them all to come on at 4pm and stay on for 8 hrs. And through the whole season they did their job day after day for two full months. The batteries seem to still be good so I'll start with the same ones next year and see how long they go. Buy these! You won't be let down!
