I had some water stains from my wiper pattern that just wouldn't go away completely after washing my car. Also, living in the rainy PNW, I wanted to apply some Rain X and get a little better water repelling action and I'd read that you should use this product before Rain X to really get it to work well. Used this product, and it did exactly what it was billed to do. It removed all those impurities that were stuck on my windshield and the water would just come off in sheets. After, I applied the Rain X and I had beads of water just shedding from my windshield. Barely had to use the wipers!

Bought a new car and it had some sortof "film" on the windshield, etc. (Do they apply a shipping film?) A weird wiper smudge line, that regular cleaning would not remove. (Which I now believe was caused by a water repellant, since I applied some rainx cleaner/protection the other day, and now whenever the right wiper reaches its limit, it leaves a temp "shadow" line. I got a thing about smudges.)
Took a shot on this product. Never had a cleaner windshield in my life. Crystal clear.
FYI, I didnt flush off with water, but wiped it off with a wet microfiber cloth, followed by dry, worked without the mess.

The kit is complete. You get a bottle of glass cleaner, the stripper, the coating, an applicator and 4 towels. The included instructions are clear, and there are online videos to show you the process as well.
Invisible Glass has been my go-to glass cleaner for years, so I was excited to try this product. I found the stripper to be harder to remove than the video's would suggest. It doesn't just rinse off, it's more like rinse, wipe carefully with a microfiber towel and rinse again. Working outdoors, I only did one window at a time, but still found the stripper to be harder to remove.
The coating itself is simple to apply, and levels and polishes with the included towels quite easily. If you've ever applied a ceramic coating to your vehicle, this will be a piece of cake. I will say that my glass is looking as clean as it ever has when I finished the process.
There is a clear (pun intended) benefit, but you'll still be using your windshield wipers. As to longevity, time will tell.
