I made the mistake of installing a slate floor around my pool. The slate was flaking and falling into the water. I painted the stone, but the paint was scratching off. I bought a bunch of these to lay down and protect the floor and paint. They work great. Easy to cut. I recommend overlapping them a bit. Unfortunately I learned that trick after cutting a bunch. These are doing a good job protecting my pool floor and now it isn't slippery.

I cut this mat to fit my bathroom which was easy to do with sharp scissors. When not in use I roll it up and store it away. It's a bit heavy given it's made of vinyl but you don't have to be a weight lifter to move around. We roll this mat out when we have pool parties. It keeps people from slipping on our tile floor and we mop up the water afterwards. It has a low profile that allows us to open doors without it getting caught on the mat too which is great.
