This rack is easy to install and sturdy. Only criticism is that the end caps of the rod fall out easily. I put a few wraps of plumber tape on each cap and re-inserted them. Small annoyance. A tip: If you're installing the rack in a corner of the room (as I did), be sure you place the arm that will be close to the side wall far enough away so hangers won't hit the wall. I didn't check that before drilling holes so I have to use the other arm (when I have just a few things) and the full rod with both arms when I need more hanging room. That's on me - not a criticism of the rack.

I researched a million closet design systems, organizers, hanging rods etc and this one was perfect for what I needed: a second tier hanging rod that was small for our tiny and terribly designed closet. From the reviews, you can tell other people have found a host of places to use these and they are pretty cool. Installation sucked, but I agree with one reviewer: use a paper as a template and you can space the holes just fine. I actually ripped off a piece of the box they came in and used it as my template to mark the holes - see in the pic haha. Then drill your hole, put in the wall anchors, put in screws, and hang the pieces. The bar in between is kind of flimsy but I found a decent (but low-quality) fix - electrical tape behind the bar will keep it from sliding back and a small piece to hold the bar together. (Again, see pic) Still, I love this and it was about 20x cheaper than the top rail in our closet so definitely worth it for a low budget closet rod. After my husband put away all of his clothes in the newly designed closet, I'd say it holds a decent amount of weight! He's not careful like I would be about sliding them back and forth but it holds up well. The side pieces do sway if you push on them, but they seem like they will hold up just fine and it's been great for a few weeks now! I bought 2 to start and I could see myself buying more in the future for how convenient they are - May try them in the bathroom next :)

It's great! Clean look and very functional the only reason for not giving a 5 star rating is because the pole that connects across to hang stuff from falls apart there's no locking mechanism to make the bar solid to keep the pieces of the bar together until you put it together but once in place it's great until you fold back down then you have to keep up with the caps on ends of the bar and the 2 pieces that connect together to make the bar. It's still great but that's just annoying. It would be perfect otherwise. Still love it though and it will be perfect once I do something to make the bar one solid piece. It will be worth it.

Really like it! I put it next to my laundry machines in my basement, where I don't have floor space (or the desire for) a traditional rack. I got it to hang up delicates and it works well for that, but I hung a bunch of winter coats on it too and it showed no outward signs of strain, which is good. Make sure you hit studs when installing if you're hanging heavier items off of this, for the sake of your walls. The bar is lightweight though, so I would space out the heavier items if you have any, lest the metal buckle in one place.

The only downside is, as others have mentioned, there being no place to store the bar when this is folded up. I drilled holes into the bottom of mine and attached screw-in hooks that were $6 so that I can hang the bar there when this is folded up and not in use.

Overall, I like this for tight spaces, and a minor modification made it work perfectly!
