Good quality and silent motors
However, one th winders does not work.

I bought this for my husband who collects watches. This is a handsome and classy watch-winder! No problem setting it up and it looks quite regal! Highly recommend.

I changed my review from 3 to 5 stars, much of this change is not only from the improvement in the updated winder, but due to their customer service. After working with support, I now have this following updated watch winder which addressed all of my concerns:

First let me say that the updated version has an additional top window that will hold 7 additional watches (non winding).
If i could change anything on this box, it would be the following two things:
1) I would like a wood finish vs the carbon fiber
2) i would move the control panel back to slant at the bottom

As for the the changes/improvements over this watch winder the updated version covers the following:
1) the springs for the watch holders come in 3 sizes, and have much stiffer springs, so that watches do not slide from side to side while winding.
2) The Cups that hold the winders seem to have improved depth, as they no longer cause the watch pillows to compress.
3) 3&4 no longer matter as they have addressed issues with 1 & 2

Additionally I will say customer service was excellent and was able to help meet my needs.

My Original Review for the 8 watch winder is below:

First the box from Amazon arrived in one of Amazon's boxes, I was not impressed that they just put the manufacturers box inside a larger box without any packing materials to keep the box from sliding around.

The manufacturer's box and packaging were done very well. Form fitted high density all around, and the box itself was wrapped in a nice softer sleeve.

The watch box winder itself seems to be constructed quite well. And the finish is very nice.
The mechanics of the box; however, has some issues (these can be seen in the videos).
1) The springs for the individual watch holders have a very weak spring. (even when using the included pillows heavier watches will slide from side to side)
2) The depth of the cups is too shallow. When a watch is inserted it causes the watch holder to compress - this of course makes the watch loose on the holder, and requires adding pillows.
3) Not enough (only 6) Pillows are included for proper fitment (due to #1 and #2)
4) Pillows came with tape on the pillow side vs the flat side.
Amazon will only allow one video upload so I will try to write additional reviews showing some of these issues.
Maybe they can fix these design issues in a future version. If [email protected] does not offer any solutions I may have to return this. I will update this review based on their feedback.

I have postponed getting a winder for awhile, but after taking all my best automatics in for servicing I asked (as usual) about the service interval and my watchmaker said "eh, about 5 years, maybe 7 or 8 if you wear them regularly", and that made me ask why. He said that the lubricants to degrade over time and that will happen whether I wear them or not, but even if you wear a watch for just a week or so every couple months (he said), the parts don't rest and push away the thickening lubricants from the wear surfaces as much, and a watch that's running on a regular basis tends to have an easier time staying running. So I figured that I'd spend a fraction of my regular service cost and get this winder for my most cherished examples. I've had it for about a month.

As others have noted, it's quiet. Super quiet. The settings for various rotor types cover just about everything. The piano black case pretty much disappears on a dark shelf and It's not so deep that you can't put something in front of it to conceal it when I'm travelling away from home. The illumination of the case is fine, and the holders for the watches accommodate my straps at the normal wearing adjustment without issue. They're springy to adjust, but not overly so to the point where they might stretch or deform a strap over time. The holders snap in and out of the rotating cups without much effort -- you can one-hand the pulling motion without pulling the winder case off the shelf. They pop back in positively. I have it set to run rotations while I'm at work, so the motors are never running when I'm at home. I have seen them running on the weekends, though.

It gets four stars because one cup, on the upper right, was not screwed into the motor behind it and I could not figure out (for days) why the cup kept popping off the motor -- until, that is, I removed the cup and noticed the small screw that makes the attachment to the motor (holding the cup firmly to it). There's a fuzzy textured piece of cardboard that covers the head of the screw at the bottom of the cup, but it's easy to pop out, and you can re-seat the cup, tighten the screw to the motor and replace the little textured cardboard without much trouble. All the other cups are fine, so it probably just got missed at time of manufacture.

I haven't tried or bothered locking it with the included key, so I'll leave that for others to comment on. My watches are ticking along quite nicely. So I have enough autos to easily fill two of these, and I would probably buy this unit a second time, but the other watches are not quite valuable enough to justify one at this time. Altogether a pretty good winder with a fairly simple and easy to remedy manufacturing oversight. Worth the money. Hope it lasts.

The media could not be loaded. This product is the ultimate watch winder. It has all the technology for a specific watch that winds in both directions and is customizable for various winds per day. It is super quiet and you can barely hear the motor if you're close to it.
I have had other watch winders and they claimed that it was quiet, but this watch winder takes the cake! There are many winders out there, but I am satisfied with this one and the price is reasonable for what it's worth! Great product-verified buyer x2!
