Ordered 2 cuttings September 26th, got them October 2nd with a bonus. I am grateful!!! 2 rooted within 2 weeks on the heat mat, one is still trying to grasp the concept of rooting (smile). I recently potted the 2 with lots of roots, waiting patiently to see some growth. So far, I am am pleased with the company sending an extra cutting, hope it survive. Will update you all with pictures as soon as I see new growth.
Nice

Got the bottom stumps you see 3 months ago. In a little over three months they're rooted and have grown this much!

It's been two months since receiving the cuttings, and with the summer heat, they have grown tremendously. After following the instructions, and also watching some online videos, I was able to determine which end needed to be in the soil. After trimming the edges and drying for a few days, I planted in well draining soil. Over two weeks, I edged them closer to the full sun area of my patio, first starting them out in partial sun. Once they were able to take full sun, I saw they went from pale yellow-green to bright dark green - they love the sun. Even one shoot about the space of my thumb fell off a large cutting, but I planted it, and that sprouted, too! (See last pic). A few more weeks and I'll pot them up into a large trellised pot. I can't wait for fruit in a few years! 100% success rate, and shipped in a week.
Which end is up?

Both cuttings arrived healthy. However, it would have been helpful if there were markings to indicate the top/bottom of each. I found a couple of videos, and hopefully I planted them correctly. On one cutting, the cut end was placed into the soil. On the other cutting, I put the pointed end (node) into the soil, such that the prickly spines pointed upward.
