Easy to use in many of my dish's with just a small squeeze

I prefer the pureed/ground version but spice world has discontinued it and replaced the puree/ground with minced. I purchased this because of the picture and hoped it was the pureed/ground ginger. This minced ginger has the same flavor profile. But a very different texture. I mean it is only pickled ginger after all. The same stuff that is available in most supermarkets that's thinly sliced. Thankfully I have a food mill, kitchenaid 5 cup food chopper and a good blender so have option on pureeing pickled ginger into a paste. I have already run a test and it is easy to puree into a paste so will do so. I doubt I will buy this brand again even though I've been buying it for more then twenty years. Since I have to puree it my self I will just buy the common thinly sliced stuff and mill it.

I am giving it 4 stars because it still tastes the same and is fine, I am just not a fan of the texture. I assume most people wont care. That and I don't want to blame the vendor for a decision of the manufacture. Although I do wish they would update the picture and description to reflect that it is a different product.

I have GERD and ginger helps so this has been a real blessing to me as I can have ginger with just about every meal if I want to! I even have left a bottle of it in my daughter's fridge in another state for when I travel to visit them. It lasts a long time as the bottle is fairly large and I don't use a lot of it - I use it in much the same way people might use ketchup!

Yummy and delicious. Kind of like a sweet, ginger dip. We love it on seaweed.

I make my own ginger ale, mixing with seltzer and Splenda sugar free sweetener.
