I use this on clay target shooting ranges to determine wind speed and direction. That doesn't help me shoot any better - flying targets do whatever they're going to do in the wind - but it is something I track in my journal.

I have no idea if the wind speed is measuring accurately, but will accept that it's at least close. The temperature just seems to pick a number (that isn't even close) and goes with it. Since I need both measurements, I'm a little disappointed in that, but I have a backup option so will keep the anemometer for the wind speed guestimate. I wish there were instructions on how to calibrate the thing
