I need large safety pins to hold some heavy denim material I was trying to hem, but regular safety pins were not holding. Found these and they were great! Also I use them to hold my keys in my purse too! So various uses for these pins!!

The listing clearly states that these safety pins will leave a hole in fabric and that is very much true. These safety pins don't really have a very sharp point to them. I use them in my RV to pin all of my blankets to the end of the mattress so they don't keep slipping off to the floor. It is VERY DIFFICULT to poke these pin through the fabric of my blankets. I have to push really hard to get them to poke through. Once in place, they are great. They are HUGE and sturdy - they stay in place. I do think these would be better for any application other than fabric, and I am going to look for different safety pins to hold my blankets on my RV mattress. However, these are as advertised and likely have many uses.

got these to keep my blackout curtains together. i didn't put much thought or effort into it, just pierced both pieces of fabric and secured the pin. seems sturdy enough. i dont know if they are heavy duty, or what a heavy duty safety pin is even for, but they hold my curtains together at the top so my cats can split the bottom without opening the curtains all the way.
they are as advertised. also read some comments saying they weren't sharp, but they pierced my blackout curtains just fine. seemed kinda pointy at the end, actually.
