I am not easy to impress. This antenna impresses me beyond belief. I had been using an after market antenna on both of my Baofeng radios. The antenna's were supposed to be the greatest. I say not so. My son and I talk in the same place all the time. So it is easy to notice any difference. He went to the furthest point on our property and talked to me. It sounded like he was standing right net to me. And I talked back with a worthless antenna, and he heard me fine. That means this antenna transmits and receives great A total Win Win. And, there is no way to beat the price!

Bought this to replace the rubber ducky on my baofeng uv5r, seems like a decent option. Was in between this and the Nagoya 771 whip antenna but went with this due to better price/portability. Can't speak on long-term durability, as I haven't really had a chance to put it through tough use, but it appears to be a good beater. The flexible neck is a huge bonus, as with these slap bracelet style of antennas you typically have it sticking up awkwardly out from your body while directly connected to the radio. Instead, this one allows you to bend that angle towards your center of gravity while still being rigid enough to stand up on its own.

I had extended antennas on my handheld (longer, not extendable) and had better range than a friend about 3 miles away. He noticed the difference and bought one of these. I noticed the difference in a radio chat after he got his. I bought a pair and immediately noticed an improvement in TX and RX. Very much worth the money. These in folded condition are better than my 10" extended antennas, and when unfolded are even better.
