Excellent Mineral Sunscreen suitable for all skin types that is tinted

I've used both this and the Actinitic version from ISDIN. Both have similar dry-touch finishes without leaving your skin feeling dry. This "Ageless" version is better for those who are looking for sunscreens that address aging concerns. I have combo/dehydrated skin. I really like that this is tinted as it offers some coverage, and on casual days, I can wear this sunscreen and not add concealer or foundation.
This is an excellent mineral sunscreen, but I have two issues with it. 1: It has a scent, and I prefer fragrance-free skincare. Once it dries down, it is less noticeable, but I would still prefer to have no scent. 2: This is tinted sunscreen verges on offering the coverage of a tinted moisturizer or skin tint. This would be a plus in most cases, except that it is too dark for me since it is winter. If your face is lighter than your neck, this won't be a problem, but I have the opposite problem. I don't like putting this on my neck because this sunscreen's tint will stain your clothes at the neckline.

What’s the deal with DNA repair enzymes
sunscreen queen✓ Verified Purchase•January 14, 2024
The good. Very lovely liquid tinted sunscreen that easily applies and dries down matte on unmoisturized combination skin. No white cast for a Fitz IV. Contains DNA repair enzymes which purportedly reverse previous sun damage from the days before you were a fastidious sunscreen queen. Iron oxides even skin tone without making you feel like you're wearing makeup, and also provide additional protection against visible light which can contribute to hyperpigmentation.
The bad. It has fragrance which is somewhat baby powdery in its aroma. Not great but also not the worst. It's a bit pricey but subscribe & save for 10% off is a solid deal. Also, it's a rather large bottle at 100 mL so it's akin to paying 35ish for a 50 mL bottle which isn't cheap, but isn't too bad. While it boasts a good SPF, and while there is more to UVA protection then concentration of zinc oxide, specifically formulation, I cannot help but be dubious of its UVA protection, particularly at longer wavelengths. At the end of the (sunny summer) day, UVA protection is far more important for skin aging than DNA repair enzymes which may or may not penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin in sufficient quantities to actually make a clinically significant difference.
The ugly. For combination skin using tretinoin thrice weekly, it can be rather drying particularly with repeated applications throughout the day.
TL;DR
In spite of my concerns about potentially suboptimal UVA protection from a mineral sunscreen, concurrent with my problematic desire to look like I'm in my 20s forever, I think the potential benefits of DNA repair enzymes are worth the pain in the wallet and potential dryness that must be counteracted with a base of moisturizer.
Postscript. Most combo skin types living in humid climates don't need a separate moisturizer in addition to their sunscreen, but this product is a clear exception. I circumvent the dryness by applying an oil absorbing moisturizer beforehand (Cetaphil Derma Control; chemical sunscreen SPF30), which permits me to maintain the delicate balance required for managing combination tretinoin thrice weekly skin adjusting to life/hell in a horribly humid climate. Given my concerns about how adequately a zinc oxide sunscreen will protect against longer wavelengths of UVA, and the fact that reapplying tinted sunscreen when out and about without access to plumbing is awkward and annoying, I tend to exclusively wear this sunscreen when I'm working, (aka indoors where people can see me) or out of doors at times of day when the UV index is low.
