I used this item to replace the button battery in a 2 inch x 2 inch battery candle. The candle sits on top the the battery case, soldered the leads to the 3V inputs and I can use rechargeable AA litium batteries . Used in a ceramic halloween lantern.

Battery Holder is compact, pre wired with switch. Easy to install on your project. I've been using them to add flame lights on antique lanterns. Disassemble a flame bulb, bypass the voltage reducer with two 1.5 batteries and you have a portable flame. Go to "Adam Savage", smart guy.
