Foiled their escape plans!!
regina gines✓ Verified PurchaseNovember 9, 2023
This was great. Installed so fast. Doggie escape plans went right up in smoke!! Plus I used around the perimeter of my chicken palace and foiled the evil plans of having chicken dinner by some unknown nocturnal critter who has been trying to break into the coop!
Extra Protection for ducks

Adds that extra level of safety for my ducks. We live in an area heavily populated with Opossums and Raccoons. Used these around the duckhouse and the pen.
Use a 2x4 when pounding into the ground. They went into the ground even in our rocky Chert soil.
Hard if you have tree roots
Archieangeltx✓ Verified PurchaseNovember 1, 2023
I just installed 20 of the 25 I bought and they most likely will work but if you have trees near the fence (tree roots) it will be very hard if not impossible to hammer them in the ground. I have bent several of the spikes and been unable to drive them over half way in the ground. If you have black dirt or few rocks in your ground it would be a lot easier.
Works very well

I recommend this product. Please read my entire review for the pros and cons. I believe in bad news first....
I am giving a less than stellar review only due to 2 things....
1. I only ordered 1 set; was charged for 2 (which I received) and was unable to return the other set due to "hazardous materials ". Not sure what that means however, I am out $200 due to a mix-up. I'll make you a deal if interested. Lol
2. The "galvanized" steel actually has turned a bit white on the surface. This is a definitive sign of oxidation. This may only be surface oxidation, nonetheless, oxidation. The sections have only been up for a few months (no winter or excessive rain).

Having said all of this; I truly recommend the product and concept. My 3 year old Beagle (that I recently adopted and was notorious for digging out) is no longer visiting the neighbors on a daily basis and I can confidently leave the doggie door available all day to her without worry.

The sections can be cut to suit a variety of terrain/ hills/ fence sections with a set of bolt cutters. Depending on how hard the ground is will determine the ease of hammering in the sections. Always start on the ends and hammer evenly inward until flush.

BEST "daytime babysitter" for my new addition!!!!
happy with product

i did a lot of research on multiple brands of this product. I finally decided to purchase this one. It was is sturdy. I put it around my house,so those pesky animals would stop living under it. I do not have a lot of upper body strength, but I was able to do this project all by myself. I bought a mallet and went to work.
