The lid was broken when I took it out of the box - the edge was chipped so it wouldn't close properly. I used Bondic to put it back together. Took a lot of tries but eventually I got it to stick well enough. Now it doesn't open as smoothly as it should but it does work. Bought this product in spite of similar broken product reviews because it had the multiple compartments and the base for ice. After scrambling to get this for Christmas then fix it, I only used three of the compartments. So make sure you really need this much space before committing to something that has good odds of breaking.

I purchased this for a party where we had a bar set up. It was really great as the individual sections come out so I was able to keep the frozen garnishes in the freezer until game time. You could also put ice in the bottom so your garnishes stay cool. Overall very happy with my purchase!
