Good grip

These are so much better than the ones that came on the crutches. I feel more secure when I go into the bathroom where the floor sometimes can be wet. Plus, it doesn't look like the metal will poke through like the original one did.

These heavy duty tips work well. I don't usually go out in the rain so I can't speak to that. Make sure on carpet you pick the crutches up otherwise they get caught. They are sturdy, more stable, but take work to get on the crutches.
Nice experience! Certainly better than the "basic" drugstore tips!

We ended up ordering multiple sets for multiple crutch/cane users. The longest term crutch user reports that they are working well in comparison to previous basic drugstore tips + previous "basic" manufacture tips. The previous "basic" tips would slide out the moment they found any drop of water, causing the crutch user to fall or nearly fall. Doctors and insurance reported that the crutch user only deserved the "basic tips" and insurance would pay for nothing fancier. Cue many months of risk taking as fancier tips were out of budget and then we came to know of these tips... smile.
In comparison to "basic tips," these newer tips have only slipped once unexpectedly and twice on a certain type of floor (known for poor crutch handling), and they have been used in winter where rain is abundant.
The rubber is softer than the previous "basic" tips which also means that the crutch user's joints are not the "shock absorber" (painful!) that all previous tips have been. So walking becomes a pleasant experience rather than one where the crutch user is saying, "surely there has to be a better solution than these basic doctor and insurance approved tips that cause me pain and falls." Well, these out of pocket tips are working very well for a more pleasant experience and the crutch user is happy!
The shorter term crutch/cane users are also reporting improved stability with these crutch / cane tips which is very good.
As far as durability reports are that they are still looking like new. "Basic" crutch tips would last barely a month and then be at risk of pushing through the very bottom for about another 2-4 weeks before replacement (a risky thing, but our crutch users had to pay out of pocket for tips). These tips are still going strong in harsh winter conditions (rain, mud, some snow, some freezing temps) -- for about two months, possibly three months for the longest user. We'll have to see how much use we end up getting out of them in the end but so far we are very impressed and the price out of pocket is very reasonable for what positive benefits the crutch users are reporting (and peace of mind).
So, the user experience is much improved with these crutch tips, the budget & price point are very friendly, the peace of mind is very good, and we will buy more in the future when needed, but so far these are working well and are long lasting / durable in comparison to the previous tips we've had access to. If you are looking for budget friendly, better quality crutch tips than the drugstore, try a pair of these!

Good Traction

These give better traction & balance than the thin cane tips. And they're durable - take a long time to wear down.
